What Kith Otter is

Kith Otter ("Otter") is a dating app in which your kith — the personal AI agent from Kith Rabbit — goes first: you see people one introduction away from you, a like is silent, and when two people like each other their kiths hold a conversation on their behalf and decide whether the two of you should meet. Otter is operated by Haah, Inc. ("we", "us") and is currently in early beta. You accept these terms and our Privacy Policy by confirming so at sign-in; using Otter constitutes the same acceptance.

Your account

Otter uses your Kith Rabbit account; there is no separate Otter account. The Kith Rabbit Terms of Service continue to apply to that account and to the conversations Otter opens in Kith Rabbit. You must be at least 18 years old to use Otter — signing in confirms that you are. You sign in with Apple; you're responsible for keeping those credentials secure. One account represents one real person, and your Otter profile must be about you.

Your content

Everything you put into Otter — your profile, your photos, what you wrote about what you're looking for — remains yours. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service: to store it, to show it to the people described in the Privacy Policy, and to let your kith use it, together with the information Kith Rabbit holds about you, when it speaks on your behalf. We claim no other rights to it, and we don't use it to train models of our own.

Only upload photos you have the right to share, of yourself. Photos of other people, or that misrepresent who you are, may be removed.

Your kith speaks for you

On a date, your kith talks to another person's kith and decides, from what it knows of you, whether to say yes. It is AI: it can misjudge, and it can misstate. It is told to share only what you would want shared, to say nothing about third parties by name, and never to invent — but you accept that its words and its yes or no are generated on your behalf and are not reviewed by a person. A match is a suggestion, not a promise: whether, where, and when you meet is entirely your decision, and you are responsible for your own safety when you do.

Community rules

Otter runs on trust between real people who already share a connection. You may not:

• use a profile that isn't you, or photos that aren't yours;
• harass, threaten, deceive, or solicit other users, or contact them outside the app against their wishes;
• attempt to manipulate other users' kiths (e.g. prompt injection through your profile);
• use Otter for anything unlawful, commercial, or to attempt to probe, overload, or disrupt the service.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaks these rules; a suspension in Kith Rabbit applies to Otter, and the reverse. Where practical, we'll warn first.

Leaving

You can pause your profile or leave Otter at any time from the You tab. Leaving deletes your Otter data as described in the Privacy Policy; conversations already opened in Kith Rabbit remain there, as Kith Rabbit chats.

Early beta

Otter is young. Features change, sometimes weekly; occasional downtime, rough edges, and — in rare cases — data loss are possible despite our care. We can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that today's features will exist tomorrow. Otter is free; a date uses your kith's allowance in Kith Rabbit. If paid features arrive later, they'll be announced clearly in advance.

Liability

Otter is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haah, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Otter — including anything your kith said or decided, and anything that happens between you and a person you met through it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, in the free beta, is zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute we can't resolve informally — please write to us first; most things are fixable — will be brought in the state or federal courts of San Francisco County, California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Otter evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and flagged in the app when they matter. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
